  • School Council

At Camestone Lower School we value the student’s opinions and involve them in making decisions about issues in their school.

The School Council is a platform for the children to communicate their thoughts and ideas.

The School Council is made up of two representatives from each class from Years One to Four.  The School Council meet every two weeks.

    Going Green

The School Council has been responsible for the school becoming more environmentally friendly and each classroom now has a recycle bin.  Each class has two energy monitors who are responsible for ensuring their outside classroom door is closed at playtimes and lunchtimes and the lights and taps are turned off when not being used.

    Golden Rules

The school council were involved in deciding the Golden Rules that were launced in February 2016. The rules have been written to ensure that Camestone Lower School is a safe and happy place to learn.

    Golden Rules

Camestone is a safe and happy place because:

    We listen, think and do.

We care about and respect everybody.

We take pride in our work and behaviour.

We are honest and tell the truth.

We take care of ourselves and our school.

We try our best and learn from our mistakes.
